Links and Buddies

Here are some links of places you can find me, and also where you can find various buddies of mine around the World Wide Web.

Links to the Jackhammer:

There are many places to find me on the world wide web. Interestingly, at the time I write this I am Google’s number one hit for both “author hunk” and “sportsman hunk”.  I’d like to say I was surprised, but I am not a liar. I’m hot shit-no messin’.

The Great Right Hope Facebook Group: A place I keep you up-to-date with all things relating to my first series of books, The Great Right Hope, The Sid Tillsley Chronicles.

Amazon: A place to buy The Great Right Hope. Loads of reviews on there too. For my British brothers and sisters visit Amazon.co.uk and for my American buddies, visit Amazon.com. This is a book for bloody blokes, and, ladies, if your husband doesn’t read, this will be the book for him (you know what I mean).

Five Inches of Steel Facebook Group: Five Inches of Steel are the fattest, smelliest, hairiest and least-talented boyband, this side of Ireland. Become a fan.

Add me as a friend on: Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

The Team Behind Jackhammer Industries

Jim Brown: The man who discovered me. Jim was the man who thought it was worth taking a punt on ol’ Sid Tillsley and his horrible drunken mates. Jim is the owner of LL-Publications and Logical-Lust.

Zetta Brown: Jim’s boss (wife!) and the editor of The Great Right Hope series. She’s also an author and will kick my ass if my punctuation doesn’t improve,

Helen Madden: The artist behind The Great Right Hope series cover. She’s also an author and a hilarious blogger.

Ruth Powell: Last, but by no means least, Ruth is my beautiful, Welsh, PR Goddess. Ruth and I met via Twitter and she’s been making me laugh since, along with giving me advice about the big scary marketing world. I’ve promised her that she can walk up the red carpet, with me, at The Great Right Hope film premiere, but I am hoping she is going to settle for a couple of pints and a curry (pickle tray not included).

Jacko and Charity

Zoe’s Place: A percentage of my ma-hoooo-sive royalty cheque for sales of The Great Right Hope will go to Zoe’s Place in Middlebrough, a charity for terminally ill kids.

Alzheimer’s Trust: An equal percentage of my ma-hoooooooo-sive royalty cheque for sales of The Great Right Hope will go to the Alzheimer’s Research Trust (25% of paperback sales, 50% of ebook sales if you were wondering). These are both great causes, and you can donate online for some good karma.

Jump4Heroes: These guys are awesome. They do crazy-arsed stunts to raise publicity for Help For Heroes and the Royal British Legion. Remember. They get a mention as my PR mentor, Ruth Powell, is the marketing genius behind the guys, and I recently interviewed her about a world record the lads recently broke.

Jacko’s Creative Buddies:

Jeremy Lewis Cope: Not just an artist, but a craftsman. Photos of his art really can’t do them justice. He has a six-pack too, ladies.

Nick Tate: Nick’s got some great sounds, but he’d call them “Radio friendly sugary acoustic niceness.”

Steve Weinberger: Steve wrote “No Air Guitars Allowed, a fantastically funny look at the life essence of a rock concert. Check out my interview with him.

Silvercub Speaks: Patrick Currier is the Silvercub, a musician, an artist, a blogger, and an all-round talented sort of guy.

Cemetery Blues: A comic book series with dry British humour and classic horror? Yes, please.

Terror4Fun: “Aaarrrggghhh, I’m a zombie.” Classic Partridge. These guys don’t do “Shitty zombies.” They recently ran a competition where readers could win copies of The Great Right Hope.

Peter Ashley: Author of A Human Reaction, it is strange that we write about such different subjects when we have identical loves for beer, WWE and martial arts. Top bloke.

Jude Stephens: Fellow horror writer with a different take on vampirism.

Ben Larken: Another horror writer who has had work published by LL-Publications. This guy has won awards for his title Pit Stop, but he has yet to include dogging in any work, and, really, can you say that you have written a decent horror story when you haven’t included a dogging scene. You probably can.

Ellen Dean: is madder than a box of frogs. My first ever book signing was a joint effort with Ellen in Gateshead. She was promoting her book Beautiful Strangers and we had a great time, and I’m grateful to her for giving me loads of advice on how to promote my own work. I blogged about the day, as it really was good fun, and quite surreal.

More of Jacko’s Buddies

Dave Farmer is the man who taught the Jackhammer Kung Fu. Yeah! I owe this man, much, and he is the best teacher and mentor I have ever known. He didn’t just teach me a martial art, he taught me how to learn, and how to break things down to simple building blocks.  He’s worked the oil rigs for nigh on twenty years and is now using his experiences to help businesses in their health and safety needs. I know he’ll be bloody brilliant at it too.  http://www.aim-to-train.co.uk/
